I know that summer is over, but I just couldn’t resist picking up some of the 70% off popsicle molds from the local supermarket. I had been eyeing them all summer after picking up some smaller hard to use (read the popsicles never come out in one piece) cheap molds. We have also been enjoying a nice peach ginger tea all summer which helped to inspire the flavor.
The almond milk is a recent dietary addition to the Slurper’s lives. Mrs. Slurper has some issues with dairy, so that limits just how much I can do with frozen yogurt and milk. I added a little bit of the almond milk to give it a creamier texture, and to help if freeze a little more solid. I’ve been using honey in my ice cream creations as of late so that the whole thing doesn’t freeze up like a rock. It’s been working well, and we really like the added flavor.
So don’t wait for summer to enjoy these refreshing treats. The ginger gives it a gentle kick and brings a fresher feel to the pop.
