“This is an old family recipe that’s been around for 50+ years. This was always the cake I requested that my mom make for my birthday growing up and I’m the youngest so it’s definitely over 50 years old. Also, even though we call this mayonnaise cake, it’s actually made with Miracle Whip, so sorry for the title being misleading, it’s just what we call it.I just made this for a bake off at work (where I called it Chocolate Surprise Cake) and won for being the most unique! This cake is super moist and makes enough batter for a 9×13 cake and about a dozen cupcakes.”
