DIRECTIONS
Preheat oven to 375.Slice peaches and add 1 cup of the sugar, vanilla and lemon juice. Let sit to marinate while you mix the batter.Put the melted butter in the bottom of an 8×8 square pan.Mix flour, (remaining) sugar, baking powder and nutmeg in a bowl.Add milk to the dry ingredients and mix just until blended.Pour batter over melted butter in pan.
