Aldi often changes and updates its stock, especially as it introduces new Specialbuys to its shelves every Thursday and Sunday. However, the latest new product to hit stores will be added to the supermarket’s meat range.
This Thursday, July 15, Aldi shoppers will be able to get their hands on a brand new meat product.
The supermarket is introducing a pack of two Lamb Tikka Masala Burgers to its weekly fresh meat delas.
The burgers are made with 100 percent British lamb, but the flavour has an Indian twist.
Costing £2.69, Aldi has claimed that the burgers are the first of their kind in a British supermarket.
A spokesperson working for the discount retailer said that Aldi is launching the Tikka Masala burgers in a “supermarket first”.
Aldi has described the burgers as “seasoned with traditional aromatic tandoor spices”.
It added: “The succulent meat is packed full of flavour.”
The new product comes after news that Tikka Masala is the curry of choice for 38 percent of Britons.
This data was released restaurant and takeaway experts Food Hub, who surveyed a group of 2,000 British people last year.
The burgers will be added to other products in Aldi’s Indian food range.
These include Bilash Mango Chutney, Bilash Plain Poppadums, and the supermarket’s Let’s Party Indian Snack Selection.
Aldi also recommended eating the burgers with its Specially Selected Sliced Brioche Burger Buns.
Customers must be fast if they want to get their hands on the new burgers as they are available for a limited time only.
From tomorrow, July 15, the product will be sold in Aldi stores and online.
Shoppers can even get the burgers delivered to their doors via Deliveroo.
In other Aldi news, the supermarket is expecting a range of new Specialbuys tomorrow.
The products will appear online at 8am and have been highly anticipated by customers for weeks.
This is due to shipping delays on some of the items.
Because of issues with global trade, many Specialbuys that were supposed to be made available last month will not be in stock until tomorrow, or later.
The Specialbuys available from tomorrow include the Crane Full Face Snorkel Mask and the Pink C-UV-Protection Clothing.
Other Specialbuys landing in stores this week are the Pig E Bank Learn With Me Set, the Crane Tube Beach Shelter, and the Jumbo Pool.
