If you’re over the Frozen movie playing on loop for the little ones, Dan has the perfect cocktail escape to sip while they watch. While the kids journey with Elsa & Anna, you can enjoy this cool blue frozen granita, mixed with lime, tequila and the tropical hint of coconut. It’s so refreshing you won’t be able to “let it gooooo!”
Ingredients
- 2 cups hot water
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup lime juice
- 1 1/2cups limeade
- 1 cup (8 oz.) blanco tequila
- 1 1/2 cups coconut water
- 1 cup (8 oz.) blue curacao liqueur
How to Make It
Step 1
Stir together hot water and sugar until dissolved. Stir in lime juice. (Store limeade in refrigerator up to 7 days.)
Step 2
Stir together 1 1/2 cups limeade and tequila in a wide shallow pan, such as a round cake pan.
Step 3
Stir together coconut water and blue curacao in a second wide shallow pan, such as a round cake pan.
Step 4
Freeze both mixtures for 3 hours, and then use a fork to scrape partially frozen liquid into shards. Freeze shards another 2 hours, and equally divide both mixtures among 4 coupe glasses.
