  • 1tablespoonbacon grease or 1 tablespoonolive oil

    DIRECTIONS

  • chop the onions, celery and pepper finely.
  • Brown the venison and chicken together in a medium Dutch oven or stew pot with a dollop of bacon grease or olive oil in the pan.
  • add the veggies when the meat is mostly browned and saute together.
  • add salt, pepper and seasonings.
  • when veggies are browned nicely and softened, add the beans, water, broth, and rice mix.
  • Stir well and allow to simmer about 25 minutes until the rice is done.
