You Need to Make This Chick-fil-A Crunchwrap Supreme

I don’t know how anyone with an internet connection could’ve gotten through the past five months without TikTok. The has been a goldmine of good food-related content in pandemic times. It would exceed the platform’s 60-second video length to even list all of its greatest culinary hits.

While most of its food hacks are certifiably mind blowing, one recent TikTok shows off what could be regarded as one of the greatest—yet most controversial—fast food mashups seen yet.

Specifically, we’re talking about @Grubspot’s Homemade Chick-Fil-A Crunchwrap, combining the structure of Taco Bell’s unorthodox take on the burrito with some of the most popular chicken around.

Unfortunately, this particular TikTok recipe doesn’t explicitly walk through each step. With that said, it shouldn’t be too hard to reverse engineer the Chick-fil-A Crunchwrap yourself if you pay close enough attention—and it looks like you can get everything you need without actually making a trip to Taco Bell.

First, lay down some of Chick-fil-A’s mac and cheese at the center of a large tortilla, layering their waffle fries on top before drizzling on some hot sauce (bonus points for using leftover Taco Bell packets you have lying around). Next, place a crispy tortilla on top of that mac and cheese/fry mixture, which will serve as the resting place for the chicken. Then, drizzle it in what appears to be either sour cream or ranch—probably a matter of personal preference either way—and more hot sauce.

To close things up, add one more soft tortilla on top before folding the giant bottom tortilla in on itself, pinching and sealing all the way around as you go. Finally, fry it up, slice, add scallions, and enjoy.

While it looks pretty damn tasty to me and some other commenters, there were a few detractors who felt that the necessary effort required to pull this off essentially defeats the purpose of ordering fast food. One TikTok user described it as “3 days worth of calories in one meal”, which makes sense once you realize pretty much everything besides the chicken is a carb.

Still, for those who love Chick-fil-A but feel compelled to also live más, this is probably as good as it gets— at least until those Taco Bell chicken wings roll out nationwide.
