Chris Moyles has lost an impressive amount of weight in recent years – losing a huge six stone at one point. The 48-year-old started eating healthier and doing more exercise following health scares. In one past interview, Chris claimed he would have ended up dead if his diet hadn’t changed.

Chris decided to lose weight for the benefit of both his physical and mental health.

“I don’t know what I used to think when I looked in the mirror when I was at my worst,” he previously told The Sun.

“Now if I go out on a Friday or Saturday and have a few beers, I can see that I’m bloating in the mirror on Sunday.”

Back in 2015, the DJ confessed that he was afraid he would die if he didn’t do something about his weight.

He told Metro: “I’m getting older. If I don’t keep fit I will be dead by the time I am 50.”

Speaking to Ross Kemp on his podcast in 2021, Chris explained how he lost a huge amount of weight over lockdown. But the two men also discussed body dysmorphia, which Chris has struggled with in the past.

He said: “Before lockdown, Monday, Wednesday, Friday I would do the show we would have a quick meeting…and then I’d get to the gym and I’d train 11-12 or 11-1, depending on how fat I was feeling. I’m feeling really fat at the moment.

“I’m fascinated by body dysmorphia because I really have an issue with body dysmorphia, which I think most people do. I’ve lost six stone from my worst weight when I was 18 stone.

“I know my body really well now, and I’m still learning. I don’t have the metabolism of an 18-year-old girl or boy, I just don’t.”

Chris added that he weighs himself six days a week in a bid to understand how his body works.

He also trains five days a week and is careful of what he eats, saying: “I do intermittent fasting and I’ll eat at 6:30pm or 7pm and I’ll be fine. I need to do that from the weekends that I have.”

Before he lost weight, Chris was a huge fan of junk food, but now he reportedly eats lots of fruit, vegetables, grains, and protein.

His diet includes just 2,000 calories per day, according to reports, which is 500 fewer than the recommended daily amount.

The DJ also does cardio three times a week, running and free weights being his exercises of choice.

Chris’ weight loss transformation started to show in 2020, as the media stalwart had lost five stone by then.

Underneath an image he shared with friend Keith Lemon on Instagram, many fans commented on his appearance.
