Princess Diana’s niece, Kitty Spencer, is now a model and ambassador for luxury brands such as Bvlgari or Dolce & Gabbana. She looks flawless in all her appearances but the truth is that Kitty looked very different a few years ago. She claims two things motivated her to change her lifestyle completely: her first modelling job and Prince Harry and Meghan’s wedding.
When contrasting before and after pictures, fans might realise that Kitty Spencer has undergone a huge amount of weight loss.
In 2010 Kitty was usually criticised because of her weight.
The star revealed that she was body-shamed in her mid-twenties as some followers left cruel comments on her social media.
She once got told by an Instagram user to “lay off the cake” because she was “TOO FAT” in her bikini.
Kitty also complaint several times saying many people kept talking about her “chunky thighs.”
Princess Diana’s niece responded with a drastic body transformation four years later.
Her weight loss has now become obvious, especially as the model keeps posting her slim figure while attending galas and events.
Kitty admitted that what changed her life completely and made her realise she wanted to change her eating habits was her cousin’s royal wedding and her first job with Dolce & Gabbana.
After Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding, Kitty, who looked beautiful in a green dress, gained over 37,000 followers on Instagram.
“I woke up the next day and looked at my phone and thought, ‘Whoops, did I take someone else’s by mistake?
“It was very weird, and a little bit overwhelming,” she told Town and Country.
A week after the wedding, Kitty was offered to be the face of Bvlgari.
Dolce & Gabbana also selected her to be a model in their 2017 fashion show.
“It was terrifying! I was 26 and working full-time for a charity, and I loved it, but it’s very different from that world of style.
“I went home and spoke to my family, and my mum said, ‘Well, why don’t you?’” Kitty explained.
“I thought, ‘I’m going to do it for my older self, so I can look back and say I did it.'” She said the experience could be, “the start of a confidence-building exercise”.
Kitty revealed she lost a lot of weight for that job although the brands didn’t care so much about that after all.
“I remember trying to be really healthy, going to the gym and doing that sort of stuff, and when I tried on the dress for a fitting, Domenico [Dolce] was like, ‘Have you lost weight?’
“I proudly answered, ‘Yes!’ and he said, ‘OK, now the measurements are different…’ There was no emphasis on size – that’s not what it’s about at all.”
Kitty has been seen this week in the Dolce & Gabbana show in Venice, where she looked stunning in the Italian designer’s dresses.
