Lisa Riley is an actress and television presenter who has been on screens for over 20-years. During this time, fans have noticed her go through an incredible weight loss transformation and slim down by 12st. As well as losing weight, the actress, from Bury, dropped seven dress sizes and went from a size 28 to a trim size 14. In order to do this, Lisa used portion control and added exercise into her lifestyle.
The natural way is the best way, I can say it as it’s how I live my life each and every day.
What did she eat?
When she first lost weight, Lisa made sure to watch her portion sizes and ate out a bowl to help her do this.
She told the Mirror: “I had made myself fat by gorging on bread, crisps, crumpets and red wine.
“Once I accepted responsibility for my health, weight and lifestyle it made it easier to take control. You don’t have to have starter, main and pudding.
“If you are doing that you are eating too much.”
The soap star revealed being honest about what she was eating helped her get in control of her diet and make the right changes.
Since then, she has used her social media accounts to give an insight into how she has kept the weight off.
What did she do?
The star also added exercise into her lifestyle and stays active for a minimum of 30-minutes each day.
As well as bringing out her diet book, Honesty Diet, Lisa has shared diet and exercise tips on her Instagram account.
She recently posted a picture of her at the gym lifting weights next to one of her after finishing the workout.
Lisa wrote: “Lifting these weights, it’s painful but it works….When you are training it should be FUN!!!
“Then you can leave the gym, have your shower, and leave with the biggest smile on your face like in my right hand photo!!!
“The more you differ your work our programmes or your class regime, the MORE AND MORE you want to keep going back and it keeps it FUN.
“Hopefully today with this beautiful weather you can get yourself out for a small walk, it all counts!”
In another recent post, Lisa shared pictures of her before and after losing weight.
She captioned it: “Just take a long long look at the girl on the right size 28….next to the healthy, happy, glowing girl on the left size 14 in a body she adores and stays strong every single day.
“Eating correctly, training as much as possible, pushing myself to get stronger and stronger. The natural way is the BEST way, I can say it as it’s how I live my life each and every day.”
Another TV star who has been through their own transformation is Britain’s Got Talent singer, Susan Boyle.
She lost 2st after Type 2 diabetes threatened her ability to sing.
Britain’s Got Talent judge, Simon Cowell, also lost weight by following a vegan diet.
