Ryan Duce, from London, managed to lose weight and drastically transform his body after joining his local F45 Training Stratford. Before starting his weight loss journey, Ryan felt like his job as an IT consultant was too sedentary and his lack of active hobbies had impacted his mental health as well as his physique.

The 28-year-old decided he needed to be more active. He had tried several gyms and training sessions but had never managed to stick to them for long.

Ryan admitted that he would always end up cancelling his gym membership: “I would spend more time on my phone between sets than actually working out.

“I never built up the motivation to progress past that initial two-week hit”.

However, everything changed when he discovered the F45 Stratford gym which massively helped him get back into shape.

According to Ryan, the “first week was the toughest” but he enjoyed it and pushed himself to continue.

He now works out six times a week attending the 45-minute class first thing in the morning. His new fitness routine leaves him full of energy before starting work and he can have the evenings to relax and chill with his friends.

Diet was also a big part of his journey and he made sure he cooked healthy meals throughout the day but in particular, for dinner.

The slimmer explained: “I was not a morning person at all when I started this so it took some getting used to.

“I found myself becoming hooked to getting moving most mornings, even to the point where I would get restless if I didn’t get my workout in.”

At F45 Stratford he also had the support of incredible trainers and other members who helped him during his journey.

He explained: “I always used to try working out alone and it never worked for me. The team mentality I get during class-based workouts made all the difference to how much effort I put in at the gym.”

Ryan is now following the F45 Challenge, a fitness and nutrition programme as well as his regular classes almost every day of the week.

By being consistent, Ryan achieved his goals and lost an impressive 1.8 stone and 13 percent of body fat in just nine months.

How does F45 work?

The concept of the F45 studio is simply following the exact same 45-minute class every day which incorporates functional movements to target fat loss.

According to its website, F45 is a “life-changing” training specialising “in innovative, high-intensity group workouts that are fast, fun, and results-driven”.

The daily workout is “the most time-efficient way of training” burning up to 750 calories per 45-minute session.

In terms of results, slimmers will see a difference in a matter of weeks. However, when it comes to weight management, good nutrition is vital.

“F45 Training gives all members access to their own free personal nutrition programme to achieve health objectives with daily meal plans, tracking and community support,” the trainers at F45 explained.
