Nigella Lawson is appearing on TV screens tonight in Simply Nigella, during which the chef will aim to create inspiring and mouth-watering recipes. Many of this who tune in will note the chef is looking svelte and healthy.

Nigella slimmed down from a size 16 to a size 12 in recent times.

How did Nigella Lawson lose weight?

Nigella’s relaxed cooking methods have seeped into her weight loss methods too.

The laid-back chef lost two stone over two years with one exercise famed for its relaxing effects.

Nigella relied on yoga to slim down, as well as eating a little less.

She told Good Housekeeping she does yoga fairly regularly.

“I do yoga three times a week,” she said.

However, there is a very important caveat to her weight loss methods.

Nigella said: “I have to do something I enjoy, otherwise I wouldn’t do it.”

Many will related to the sentiment. Putting in hours on the treadmill, while effective, is not for everyone long term.

Age, too, is a concern of Nigella’s when it comes to her workouts. While she doesn’t look it, she is in her 60s.

The chef added: “The older I get the more I realise I have got to do lots of stretching.

“So even if I’m not doing yoga, I make myself do lots of stretching.”

Nigella credited for the exercise as it makes “you feel great.”

She has also claimed to eat lot of kale and avocado.

Although, she has claimed never to have dieted.

Another celebrity who has slimmed down considerably is British singer Adele.

Adele’s weight loss of seven stone has impressed fans the world over.

She recently posted a number of hilarious videos and images paying tribute to Nicole Richie on her birthday. Fans marvelled over how slim the singer looked.

Adele is said to have followed the Sirtfood diet to slim down.

The Sirtfood diet is famous for allowing red wine and chocolate on the diet.
