F45 Challenge: Healthy way to lose body fat in eight weeks
There are plenty of diet plans available which all promise to give results. On How To Lose Weight Well, slimmers tried different diets to see which ones work best.
On tonight’s episode, slimmer Mick embarked on a fitness journey and used diet and exercise to transform his frame.
Mick wanted help getting in shape ahead of taking part in the Yorkshire Three Peak challenge, which involves walking Pen-y-ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough.
Speaking on his diet before his transformation, he said: “Food wise there is nothing that’s off limits.
“I like Chinese food, I like Indian food and I like Sunday dinners. I like my food.”

Mick had just six weeks to get into shape before he completed his challenge.
When he began his diet plan, he tipped the scales at around 19 stone.
He added: “Realistically I’d love to come down to 15 stone or 15st 7lb. It’s a lot of weight but I’m committed to losing it.”
On the show, Mick was set up with the “Fitness Challenge” diet which was inspired by an F45 fitness plan.
The fitness plan required the slimmer to workout for 45 minutes sessions.
He would complete three sessions a week of both cardio exercise and resistance training.
On the seventh day each week, he had to complete both a cardio and resistance session.
Mick was also given a personal trainer and had to build the intensity of his workouts each week.
What diet plan did he use?
To stay energised, he changed his diet plan to eat healthy meals that helped to fuel his workout.
While Mick was allowed to be flexible in his healthy eating, he was capped at 1,900 calories a day.
He also cut out processed foods and alcoholic drinks to help him get into shape.
At the end of the six week period, Mick had shed an impressive 1st 9lb and slimmed down to 17st 5lb.
Not only did his fitness improve, but he revealed his confidence had too.
“I feel a better version of me,” Mick explained, “this isn’t the finished article, this is me six week from where I was and I feel brilliant.”
The slimmer also shared he would keep the plan up and encouraged others to try it.
He added: “If I can do it at 53 and 5st 7lb overweight then anyone can do it.”
