Autumn Sausage Casserole

INGREDIENTS

  • 1lbbulk pork sausage
  • 1mediumapple, peeled and chopped
  • 1mediumonion, chopped
  • 12 cup chopped celery
  • 3cupscooked long-grain rice
  • 12 cupraisins
  • 13 cup minced fresh parsley
  • 1tablespoonbrown sugar
  • 12 teaspoonsalt
  • 14 teaspoonground allspice
  • 14 teaspoonground cinnamon
  • 18 teaspoonpepper
  • DIRECTIONS

  • Preheat oven to 350°. In a large skillet, cook sausage, apple, onion and celery over medium heat until meat is no longer pink; drain. Stir in the remaining ingredients. Taste and adjust seasoning with salt and pepper, if needed.
  • Transfer to a greased 2-qt. baking dish. Cover and bake 25-30 minutes or until heated through.
