Bacon roll-ups


  1. 1/4 cup butter
  2. 1/2 cup water
  3. 1 1/2 cups herb seasoned stuffing
  4. 1 egg, beaten
  5. 1/4 pound hot sausage
  6. 1/2 pound thick- sliced bacon, cut into thirds


  1. In small saucepan, melt butter in water over medium heat.

  2. In large bowl, stir butter mixture into stuffing. Add egg and sausage; mix thoroughly. Shape mixture into 1 -inch balls; refrigerate, covered, 1 hour. Wrap 1 piece bacon around each ball; secure with toothpick.

  3. Heat oven to 375°f.

  4. Place roll-ups on 15×10×1 inch baking pan. Cook 35 minutes, turning once after 15 minutes, until bacon is crisp and sausage is no longer pink in center. Remove roll-ups from oven and drain on paper towels.
