This is another version of beef stew. I like to change it up every once in awhile. This does make a lot as I have a crowd to feedlol and it will be devoured. I love to serve beef stew with buttered cornbread.
Ingredients
- 3 lbs beef stew meat
- Salt and pepper or use Greek seasoning
- 3 pound bag baby potato cut into fourths I don't peel them
- 1 (16 oz) bag of baby carrots
- 2 stalks celery finely chopped
- 1 large yellow or white onion chopped
- 3 cloves garlic minced
- 2 (12 oz) jars of beef gravy
- 1 Tablespoon parsley
- 1/2 Tablespoon mushroom seasoning
- 1/2 Cup water
- 2 Tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1 (10 oz) can tomatoes with green chilies drained
- 1 (15 oz) can of sweet peas drained
- 1 (15 oz) can of butter beans drained
Steps
Season beef with salt and pepper or use Greek seasoning in slow cooker
Mix in carrots, potatoes, celery, garlic, tomatoes and water
Mix both jars of gravy with Worcestershire sauce, parsley and mushroom seasoning
Pour on top and mix in well
Cover and cook for 8 hours on low
Stir is peas and butter beans in the last 10 minutes of cooking
