My mom used to make this for Christmas for all the family


  1. 2 1/2 gal milk
  2. 1 1/2 cups cornstarch
  3. 2 lg cans evap milk
  4. 2 cans condensed milk
  5. 2 bottles rum extract
  6. 1 1/2 doz eggs
  7. 1/2 tsp salt
  8. 4 pts half and half
  9. 1 1/2 cups sugar
  10. 4 tsp nutmeg
  11. 2 tbs vanilla extract
  12. 4 tsp cinnamon


  1. Pour milk in large pot and put on med heat.

  2. Separate 1 1/2 doz eggs. Beat egg yolks with a little milk until smooth. When milk gets warm, add beaten eggs yolks. Stir well. Add salt.

  3. Add evaporated milk and condensed milk. Add sugar.

  4. When milk gets warm and dreams, stir constantly so it doesn’t stick. Add milk to cornstarch and stir smooth. Add to milk with nutmeg.

  5. Beat egg whites until stiff, adding 1 tsp of cream of tartar and 1 Tbs sugar per egg white. Pour egg white into large pot. Pour milk over egg whites, stirring carefully. Add extracts and cinnamon.
