Homemade Cheese sticks

I wanted these but didn’t want to order them. So I decided to make them!


  1. 1 lb mozzarella cheese, whole milk
  2. 1 cup Gluten free Bread crumbs, plain
  3. 1 cup Arrowhead organic All-purpose flour + half a cup set aside
  4. 3 eggs
  5. 1 tsp white pepper
  6. 1 tsp garlic powder
  7. 1 tsp salt
  8. Oil of your choice for frying


  1. Cut block of cheese in half and cut halves in sticks. Bread them first in the half cup of flour, then egg and then the bread crumbs. Place on an aluminum foil lined baking sheet.

  2. Freeze for 2-3 hours before cooking.

  3. When ready to cook, heat oil over med-high heat and fry until golden brown. Drain on paper towels.

  4. Also another option is to bake them at 375° for 15-20 mins. Also, if you like, double breading them, keeps the cheese on the inside.
