Pork Ginataan

Got this recipe from a Filipino chef. Using spinach in this recipe gives an American twist to the dish.

Ingredients

  1. Pork belly
  2. Onion
  3. Garlic
  4. Ginger
  5. Black pepper
  6. Fish sauce
  7. Spinach
  8. Coconut milk
  9. Coconut cream

Steps

  1. Heat oil in a pan and saute onion, minced garlic and ginger (cut into thin strips)

  2. Cut the pork belly into bite size then add to the pan. Cook until meat turns light brown

  3. Add coconut milk and coconut cream and let it simmer

  4. Add black pepper and 3 tbsp of fish sauce. Let mixture simmer until meat becomes tender. Add water if needed.

  5. Add the spinach. Let the mixture stay in low heat for another 10mins
