Whiskey maple syrup

I was able to make this homemade syrup fast and easy just by things I’ve done and experienced


  1. 2 tbsp brown suger
  2. 1 cup suger
  3. 2 cup water
  4. Pinch salt
  5. 2 tbsp maple extract
  6. 1/2 cup bullet rye whiskey


  1. Put water and suger over a high heat and stir until water is clear approx 2-5 mins

  2. Add brown suger to give color and mix in to simple syrup

  3. Let reduce and boil while stirring to insure it does not burn

  4. After the syrup thickens add maple extra and mix well

  5. After reducing and allowing to get to the constancy you desire let the syrup cool for 15 mins and fold in whiskey to taste
